Aussiebum WJ Pro Brief – An Xpress review from Guys’ Underwear Blog
Finally! Just a few days I ago I received the much hyped and brand new Aussiebum WJ Pro Brief. Today I’m ready to cast my verdict.
If you need a quick introduction to the aB WJ Pro range, check out the extended photo gallery and the hilarious promotion video, launched just last week.
With this profile-enhancing brief, and the WJ Pro range in general, Aussiebum has truly gone back to the formula that propelled the brand to underwear stardom back in the day.
Wearing this brief was like catching up with an old friend you haven’t seen in a while. But instead of looking aged, this friend looks a bit better than he used to, a bit more fit, like he’s been working out. You can’t really tell the difference from afar, but up-close the change becomes more apparent.
Fans of the classic Aussiebum Wonderjock will notice that the changes introduced with this upgraded version are subtle, but all for the better.
See how in the review below the pics.
| Feature | Verdict |
| Style and look | The WJPro Brief is classic Aussiebum. A low-rise brief with narrow sides, measuring 3 inches including waistband. Though not as skimpy as the similar Hunk brief, the look and feel of the WJPro brief is very bikini brief-like. This is a good thing! Bikini cut briefs are definitely the trendiest brief cut out there at the moment. Of course I have to get into the profile-enhancing pouch design – the key feature of the WJ Pro brief. Like its Wonderjock predecessors, the pouch of the brief has a small pocket into which you sink your entire package. It seems like Aussiebum has done some upgrading of the pouch pocket because it does feel slightly more stretchy and soft than previous versions of the Wonderjock. Your stuff is not as cramped together as it used to be. The lift effect is remarkable and won’t go by unnoticed. And when it comes to “artificially” enhanced bulges, Aussiebum excels at making them look natural. It’s not obvious that you are wearing enhancing underwear – and this is a major plus in my book. You don’t want it to be too obvious that you are getting a little help down there. |
| Suitable for? | Wearing enhancing underwear, present brief included, is a little more work than your average day-to-day underwear. With the WJ Pro brief, for instance, you have to be prepared to spend a few more seconds getting your assets back into the pouch pocket in the morning and after visits to the bathroom. But hey, I’ll gladly spend that extra time in return for a day of envious glances :) You can easily wear the WJ Pro for an entire day as it is made from a soft and stretchy 90 % cotton / 10 % Elastane. Normally, cotton-based underwear contains just 5 % Elastane, but the fact that Aussiebum has doubled the stretch of the fabric makes a world of difference. And while I do sense the added ability of the brief to allow for more “sway” freedom, be aware that in order to create the push-up effect, your genitals are always kept firmly in place. For this reason, I wouldn’t wear this brief when going to bed (to sleep at least) – simply because I enjoy complete freedom of movement and minimal lift while sleeping. |
| Fit and quality? | I have 32/33 inch the waist, and I wore a size M which fit like glove. The added stretch of the extra Elastane makes for a generous fit so you can easily go for your usual size even if you sometimes fall between sizes. I mentioned it above, but the production quality of the Aussiebum WJ Pro is a class better than its competitors in this price range. It was a pleasure to wear. |
| Is the price right? | The WJ Pro Brief is available at US $2o. Combine that with free worldwide shipping and you have one amazing deal. When it comes to the price-to-quality ratio Aussiebum is rivaled by very few other underwear brands. |
| Best thing about it? | There can be no doubt that the enhancing pouch design is the defining feature of the Aussiebum WJ Pro brief. Also, the upgraded fabric composition, which have added extra stretch to the pouch, makes a world of difference in terms of all-day comfort. |
| Overall grade | ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ Aussiebum once again prove that profile-enhancing men’s underwear can be functional – dropping jaws wherever you go – and comfortable at the same time. It was a stroke of genius by Sean Ashby and his team to add more stretch. Perhaps with the next upgrade, they could go even further and do a version of the WJ Pro based on a micro-modal fabric composition, which is even softer and stretchier than this one. We’ll have to wait and see – for now, I’m just crazy about the WJ Pro brief as it is. |
