The 2(x)ist ALL STAR range hit the stores back in October, and slowly but steadily it has made its way into underwear drawers across the country.

The ALL STAR buzz around the underwear community was positive right from the beginning as it usually is when the underwear powerhouse that is 2(x)ist releases new ranges. These guys know the craft of men’s underwear innovation, that’s for sure.

So, naturally, I was exited about reviewing the ALL STAR No-Show brief. Still, I didn’t really want to get my hopes up too high.

Why?

Well, much of 2(x)ist’s strength is founded in their magnificent ability to construct super comfortable, sexy, high-quality, masculine profile-enhancing underwear – like the über hot SLIQ range.

Now, the ALL STAR range does not feature the same kind enhancing pouch design. It’s a more regular and subtle range. Don’t get me wrong, it does have a contoured pouch, it’s just not as extremely enhancing as its SLIQ cousin.

If done the right way, choosing understated underwear can make you appear cooler and more confident than most. But not every brand can pull off a successful, understated pair of briefs. The risk of becoming boring and bland is high.

But don’t worry.

The 2(x)ist ALL STAR No-Show Brief is a class example of true underwear coolness, comfort, and confidence!

Design, cut, fit, and fabric – it all comes together in this wonderful brief. There can be no doubt, this is another smash hit for 2(x)ist.

Feature	Verdict
Style and look	2(x)ist tell us that the inspiration for the design and colors comes from classic sport uniforms. This adds a masculine touch and makes for an overall athletic look and feel. The cut is best described as a regular not-too-low-rise brief cut with sides measuring about 4 inches including waistband. It rests comfortably on the hips, and both back and front coverage is flawless. A quick word on the pouch. Compared to most other brands, the ALL STAR pouch is by far roomy enough to host packages of most sizes. It will give you a nice, clean round package and you will feel comfortable and supported throughout the day. If you want a pouch that has more lift and aggressive enhancement features, go the the SLIQ brief.
Suitable for?	The 2(x)ist ALL STAR No-Show Brief is made from one of my all-time favorite fabric compositions, 55% cotton, 37% modal, and 8% spandex. In layman’s terms this means that the fabric is extremely soft and stretchy – more so than any traditional cotton underwear. The ALL STAR brief is SO comfortable to wear and it stayed firmly in place the entire day I wore it. It put up with the most strenuous tasks with no problems. In spite of its athletic look, however, I still would recommend something more breathable for sports activities.
Fit and quality?	The fit was impeccable – as it always is with underwear from 2(x)ist. Then again, it’s difficult to go wrong with a stretchy modal/spandex fabric blend. I wore a size M for a size 32/33 inch waist and it fit like a glove. And you don’t have to worry about this brief carving into any love handles that may spring up over Christmas.
Is the price right?	Incredibly, the 2(x)ist ALL STAR brief is cheaper than the very affordable SLIQ brief. It’s just US $14! I don’t know what 2(x)ist do to keep their prices this low, but there can be no doubt that 2(x)ist is the absolutely best deal around when it comes to price vs. quality. It’s simple as that.
Best thing about it?	The athletic look, the price, and the astonishing comfort of the cotton/modal/spandex fabric blend make for one the best brief experiences I’ve had so far this fall/winter season.
Overall grade	★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I rarely, rarely hand out five stars when reviewing underwear. To achieve this grade the underwear under review has to truly stand out and offer something unique. The fact that I – for the second time in a row – award a pair of 2(x)ist briefs the best possible rating is simply a testimony to the level of underwear expertise that 2(x)ist master. When you take a look around the underwear sites and online stores the message is the same. Guys give 2(x)ist – and the 2(x)ist ALL STAR No-Show Brief in particular – raving reviews. At the moment, 2(x)ist really is the Apple brand of the underwear industry.
