It’s been a while since we enjoyed some Modus Vivendi hotness. So what better to end the week than a fresh set of photos from our Greek underwear obsession.
The pictures below were shot by the young, up-and-coming Spanish photographer, Adrian C. Martin. The model in the photos is Fran Gonzalez and the shoot took place in Spain.
We really need to head to the beaches of Greece – STAT!
Here’s some info about the underwear and swimwear used for the shoot:
- Yellow swimwear with side buttons: Glory hole brief S1316
- Blue underwear: Army brief 19111_marine
- Red underwear: querelle brief 15011_red
Enjoy the pics, guys – and have a great Sunday.
With a slight delay due to the fact that the GUB team is still on vacay, here’s the third installment of our m8mate swim wear series.
The reason for the swim wear focus this week is the fact that we see too many guys wearing eye-hurting bad swim suits on beaches across the world (not you guys, of course).
So, if you know anyone who could stand to upgrade their swim wear wardrobe – please direct them to this post.
Happy New Years to all you underwear and swim wear lovers across the world.
As 2013 is coming to an end we’d like to thank all of you guys for supporting GUB in the past year. The entire GUB team looks forward to keep bringing you reviews, pictures, news, and videos from the world of men’s underwear in 2013.
Anyway, let’s celebrate this last night of the year with more sizzling m8mate pictures. As you may have noticed, the other day we started a short campaign of swim wear education to the men out there who still run around in saggy old board shorts or worn-out speedos.
Let us repeat this: Oversized board shorts and faded, generic speedos will do just fine on the beach and by the pool. Said no one. Ever.
Therefore, we are happy to share a set of photos featuring the m8mate Pool swim wear range, which shows that you can look sexy in a classic cut swim brief. This style is neither too low-rise, nor is it ridden with loud print designs. It’s understated and vintage-looking, and it will look good on men of most sizes. All that matters is that you wear it with pride.
Well, here at GuysUnderwearBlog.com we are actually on holiday at the moment, enjoying the sunny beaches of Thailand. And we see too many guys wearing boring, out-of-date swim wear.
A Ukrainian follower of GUB then kindly reminded us that m8mate currently has some seriously great-looking swim styles. And we decided to use this as an opportunity to teach the world a valuable lesson about men’s swim wear. Why look bland and generic, when you can look cool and dignified like these guys below?
Therefore, over the next couple of days we will share with you some of m8mate’s new swim wear pics (there are loads), starting with the Marina range.
Are you like us? Longing for a summer climate? Well, we’ve got a short mental getaway for you.
Iconic Aussie underwear brand 2wink Australia are heating things up in the southern hemisphere by adding two new ranges of swimwear briefs to its summer collection, entitled “40 Degrees & 38 Degrees”. That’s 104 & 100 Fahrenheit for those of us in the US. Once again the new ranges highlight a removable “Bulge Booster” pouch substituting for those cold water moments.
And to get that mental getaway going for ya, check out the pics below.
The “38 Degrees” range has two front square colored panels one of cool blue and the other of white with opposite coloured leg trims. To bring to light the rear, matching cool blue snugs the behind. Heating things up to “40 Degrees” 2wink replaced the cool blue panel with a sizzling hot peach. Both designs have a draw-string neatly hidden inside and centred to the waistband. Each pair includes the “Bulge Booster” foam mould that can be inserted into or removed from the inside pocket in the front pouch. Branding the design and nicely positioned to the front is the Company’s rubber logo.
The ranges were shot at popular Australian beach, Cottesloe in Western Australia, Headquarters of 2wink on a warm Aussie summer’s day. “We were in the middle of the shoot when the crew of the Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club came to investigate a growing crowd. Before the crew knew it, we had them posing next to the models with much excitement” says 2wink Australian co-owner Carl McNeill. “The girls and the guys from the Surf Life Saving Club enjoyed having their photo taking with the models and it added a buzz to an already hot summers day”
The 100% Aussie-made 40 Degrees & 38 Degrees swimsuits are made from the finest imported Italian Nylon. The physique-showcasing swim briefs are fully lined to the front. Each swimsuit retails for around $54.95 AUD (free worldwide shipping), and are available exclusively online at www.2wink.com.au.

Soon 2012 will be over and the underwear- and swim wear makers will start promoting their brand new 2013 ranges.
And lucky for all of us, some of the brands are starting to release teasers. Including our Spanish favorite, ES Collection.
You can watch the video preview below. It’s sizzling! Although it doesn’t reveal too much actual swim wear, you can go to www.escollection.es where you can find out a lot more about the coming 2013 swim wear items. You can also see pics of these items below.
Here’s what product manager, Eduardo Suñer, has to to say about the new range:
I hope you are all prepared to get to know the new swimwear collecttion that ES collection prepared for 2013. In my opinion, the word that better defines this wonderful collection is IMPRESSIVE, with any doubt the best ever.
Our designers worked very hard in this extraordinary collection and personally I´m very proud of the results achieved. You´ll will see soon that they are really pieces of art. I´m confident that you will be fascinated with the launch of the “El Hierro” campaign, the dinamism and colors of “Islands of the World”.
The sportive spirit of our brand, the ESpecial design and quality of the products reinforce our position as a referent on the market.
You made that all possible and to you we dedicate the new collection “Islands of the World”.
Let’s revisit the new super hot aussieBum swim wear range, “Wrestle Me“, for a bit…
If you caught our story about the sexy wrestle-sinlget-like swimsuit you will know all about our fetish-like fascination with this latest addition to aB’s collection.
So it should come as no surprise to you guys that when the behind-the-scenes video clip below appeared on Youtube a few days ago, we just HAD to share it with you.
As fall is getting a tight grib here on the Northern hemisphere, this video is also a 2 minute escape to the soothing warm climate of Australia. Ahh, how we wish were the ones on that beach… behind that camera… or in those bathing suits.
The aussieBum wrestleME swimwear is $85 USD and you can get it over at www.aussiebum.com.
Anyway, have a fun weekend guys. And enjoy the clip!
So, this is new…!
Continuing on with our aussieBum cathup from the other day, we have a real doozie for you guys today.
You all know about our strange fascination with singlet underwear (or at least now you do).
Now aussieBum has made the excellent choice of introducing an INCREDIBLY hot wrester-like singlet swimwear style. And if you like this stuff (like us), don’t feel embarrassed. This type of men’s swimwear is very similar to the preferred men’s swim fashion styles in the 1920′s. So if anything, guys who dare to wear the new wrestleME swim suit to the beach are extremely retro fashion chic.
Take a look for yourself below. We have included both pictures and and video footage. Do take the time to watch the video. It’s awesome.
The aussieBum wrestleME swimwear is $85 USD and you can get it over at www.aussiebum.com.
Enjoy guys, and have a great weekend!!
Our favorite Greek underwear label, Modus Vivendi, has been at it again!
This time they’ve put together a campaign, showcasing 12 different lines of Modus Vivendi underwear and swimwear symbolizing 12 different professions.
Clearly, there’s a pair of Modus Vivendis for everyone! There’s a even a few new styles in there that we haven’t seen before.
Also, they’ve put a pretty neat backstage video with some HD closeups of the undies. Watch that below.
We included a nice selection of the 12 picture sets below. Check out all the 12 pictures over at e-modusvivendi.com.
Donatella Versace, that is.
We’ll admit, we weren’t actually aware that she was big on the subject f men’s underwear.
But then we stumbled across a post on the awesome fashion blog, Metrovelvet. They ran a major story on a recent runway show of hers.
And from the looks of it… boy, has she got a knack for the craft of underwear-making.
We’ll let the pictures speak for themselves, but we bet that had the gladiators of ancient times had access to this kind of underwear – they’d be wearing nothing else.
A few keywords – briefs and mesh are definitely a reoccurring theme. As for the swimwear styles – again briefs and visible drawstrings seem to be the thing. Something we’ve already noticed with other swimwear designers.
Not sure where to buy these babies, but if you find out, let us know.
Enjoy the pics!
