Diesel Divine Underwear – An Xpress Review by Guys’ Underwear Blog
By Scott from SkinnyJonz
Diesel Underwear refreshed the Divine range in 2011, and for Autumn/Winter they have released a cotton and elastane range with various designs and colours. Divine has been refreshed with a series of products in briefs, trunks and with a new jockstrap. Various colours are available with some stylish blues and reds. There are 2 packs available as well. Diesel always produce urban looking designs and the Diesel logo is large across the waistband.
The Diesel Divine range is a really good fit and the waistband is really comfortable and looks great. The cotton fabric has a nice feel and looks cool. I have been wearing various Diesel trunks for the past few weeks and I am impressed by the fit and quality.
As always, Diesel will no doubt be bringing further variations out in this very popular product line and the campaign still looks fresh, urban and young.
| What | Verdict |
|---|---|
| Style and look? | The Diesel Divine range is available in a trunk, brief or jock strap. I wore the navy blue trunk version, and it looked and felt great. The waistband felt soft and will look great peaking out just above your jeans’ waistline, featuring the signature Diesel logo. |
| Suitable for? | Everyday underwear and very urban. The stretchy fabric composition (95% Cotton, 5% Elastane) meant that they provided proper support and felt light. Also, you might even use them for sports if you feel like it, especially with the jock strap! |
| Fit and quality? | The fit was absolutely great due to the fabric quality. I wore a size M for a 34 inch waist. The quality with Diesel is great. |
| Is the price right? | The Diesel products are very good value for money, especially for a top quality product. A pair of Devine trunks is around $27.50 USD. |
| Best thing about it? | The younger, urban designs are fresh and bright, as per their ‘Fresh and Bright’ product lines. |
| Overall grade | ★★★★☆ Diesel Divine gets a nice 4 out of 5 star grade for an underwear range that’ll satisfy most men’s need for comfortable, no-nonsense everyday underwear. Well done! |

2(x)ist Military Collection: An Xpress Review by Guys’ Underwear Blog
By Valdamar
Hello all you underwear lovers out there. Today we’re taking a look at the latest and greatest from one of the world’s leaders in men’s underwear fashion. 2(x)ist has a style that takes from bright and flashy as seen in their neon collection to this hyper masculine look of the military series. 2(x)ist has a very diverse look yet always exhibits an amazing style and look and is and has been at the forefront of the underwear world for men. So I am always excited to get a chance to look at review underwear from 2(x)ist.
I love the Military collection from 2(x)ist. When you first hear the name you would expect to see a bunch of camouflage prints but that is not all you will find. 2(x)ist has taken their “military” look in a way that captures the utilitarian and brute look of soldiers. The material is 57% cotton, 37% modal, and 6% spandex. It’s fabricated into a smooth look that has an edge. If you look closely it’s patterned into a rugged feel in that it doesn’t have a silky smooth shimmer but a look imitating Army issued undies. Yet the material is as soft, supportively stretchy and comfortable as any high quality underwear. It does come in a green and a grey camouflage but also comes in white, black, grey and green. It comes as a sports brief, a no-show brief and a no-show trunk. You may also get a matching square neck tank.
I have a green Military Sports Brief and love it. It fits great, feels great and looks great. The waistband on the underwear has a metallic silver shiny band with three thin green lines in the color of the underwear. That band color compliments the green really well, completely highlighting the military look. The elastic band is about an inch and a half so it’s large but not too big. The front has a lined and contoured pouch which is a good size, neither too small nor overly large, so it provides support and comfort. The brief has a fully covered back made with one piece of material. The strip between your legs is not too thick, so as to cause bunching, but wide enough to keep you covered; about 2 and a half inches. The front pouch and back are connected at the front hip by a small bridge of fabric giving it 2(x)ist’s signature “sports” look. The underwear is trimmed by the same colored fabric with three rows of stitching in a darker, almost black, thread. They look and feel great!
I also have a matching green tank. It’s made out of the same material and and has the same great look. The front neck line has a squared “U” cut. The sides have three double stitched lines which go up and arch around and go straight down the back. The stitching as in the underwear is of a dark green. The lines remind me of a 50’s movie theatres neon sign. Its contouring lines go well with the look of the tank top. On the left shoulder strap there is a silver tag with green letters showing 2xists logo. It can be worn as undershirt or on its own as a tank top.
I wore both of these garments and they were very comfortable and looked really good. I had them on throughout my day’s activities and even throughout the night. Like all good underwear they were doing their job so well I never even really noticed they were there except when I took my clothes off and was pleasantly surprised to see my hot undies! I washed them and wore them again and they showed no signs of wear. The quality is great and these undies should last you a long time. Thank you 2xist for these amazing Military style undies.
| What | Verdict |
|---|---|
| Style and look? | The style and look of the Military collection is rugged, manly and sexy. They have managed to capture that masculine look and sexy roughness of a soldier. They have done this while keeping that classic 2(x)ist style. |
| Suitable for? | They are good for everyday use and wear while at the same time are great for showing off. The masculine style makes them a great pair to show off in the locker room at the gym. Guys need to show guys that they have them on! |
| Fit and quality? | The fit was perfect. 2(x)ist has been making underwear a long time now and know exactly how to make their underwear compliment your body. The quality is great with the trim being triple stitched. These undies could go into battle and last a soldier the whole time at war. Even if it were almost 10 years! |
| Is the price right? | The sports brief is $20 as is the no show brief, the trunk is $28 and the tank is also $28. That is not a bad price for a new piece of 2(x)ist undies. It’s about what you would expect to pay for a high quality name pair of underwear. |
| Best thing about it? | The best thing about the Military collection is that you get a great fit and useful pair of underwear that also look good enough to show off. You can wear these undies all day or for a special occasion such as to the GUB Grind. |
| Overall grade | ★★★★★ 2(x)ist scores a perfect 5 stars with the Military collection! I know Christmas has past but maybe this could be a great post-Christmas present to yourself. It’s a great way to spoil your nether regions! |

Modus Vivendi’s Festive Line: An Xpress Review by Guys’ Underwear Blog
Guys, we are so excited to introduce you to Jeff, the newest addition to the GUB team. Today Jeff will be reviewing the fun new Festive range by Greece’s number one men’s underwear brand, Modus Vivendi.
By Jeff
We all own many pair of underwear that we like because of the way they look or feel on us. After all, who doesn’t want to look good and feel comfortable? But there’s a certain niche that’s lacking from many of our wardrobes – a niche that combines comfort, sex appeal and a healthy dose of FUN. This is the niche that Modus Vivendi’s new Festive Line of briefs, boxer briefs/trunks and jockstraps successfully fills.
For those of you not familiar with Modus Vivendi…they are a Greek menswear company that focuses primarily on designing underwear.
Combining comfortable materials with low-rise styling and fun details, the Festive line is designed for the man who is confident enough to wear something bold and different. This isn’t your everyday underwear that will go unnoticed when someone sees you in them. Instead, it draws attention and adds levity.
For this line, Modus Vivendi used a velvety material that is a cotton/polyester blend. I tried three pair. The Rock Velvet Brief and Velvet Stars Brief are both 80% cotton / 20% Polyester. And the Bon Bon Mini Brief is 65% Cotton / 35% Polyester. The fabric is quite soft and comfortable. It’s also somewhat thicker than usual, so I wouldn’t recommend wearing them on a hot summer day or with tight jeans that can reveal underwear lines.
The Rock Velvet Brief has a gold stripe with pyramid-shaped studs going down the pouch, the Velvet Stars Brief has 5 stars of various sizes embroidered on the front, and the Bon Bon Mini Brief (available in fuchsia, orange and yellow) has bikini styling and a strip of elastic that runs vertically up the seat, showing the separation of the cheeks.
All three pair that I tried offer a sexy, low-rise cut and a pouch that provides ample support. I found them to be comfortable, soft to the touch and well made. And frankly, it was fun wearing them. So will I get much use out of them? I will definitely wear the two pair of briefs (I really want to go to a toga party and wear a pair of white Rock Velvet Briefs underneath!), but must admit that I need more of a bubble butt in order to look my best in the Bon Bon Mini Brief.
I would categorize the Festive line as either special occasion underwear to be worn on dates that you expect to turn fun or “mood improvement” underwear to be worn when you need to add some liveliness to your day. All in all, this is a welcome addition to my underwear drawer!
| What | Verdict |
|---|---|
| Style and look? | Fun and sexy. The line offers unique, fun details and low-rise styling. |
| Suitable for? | This underwear will get you noticed, so it’s not for the shy guy. Wear them on dates or when you want to add some levity to your mood. Because of the thicker material, they are not ideal for the hot summer months. Also, you may have visible underwear lines if you wear these with tight jeans. This could be a pro or a con depending on your style. |
| Fit and quality? | The quality materials and construction offer a comfortable fit with ample support. They run somewhat small, so you may want to buy one size larger if you’re between sizes. |
| Is the price right? | The collection ranges in price from around $25 for the Bon Bon Mini Brief to about $32 for the Velvet Stars Brief and $38 for the Rock Velvet Brief. They are on the expensive side, but offer unique details and fabric that you can’t find anywhere else. |
| Best thing about it? | The unique combination of fun and sex appeal. |
| Overall grade | ★★★★☆ Good job Modus Vivendi! The unique details combined with the comfortable fabric and fit make the Festive line a hit! |

Guys, we have another guest blogger that we would like to introduce you to. It’s Scott from SkinnyJonz who has put together a review of the very popular CK One Micro style.
Welcome, Scott!
By Scott from SkinnyJonz
Calvin Klein Underwear released the CK One range in 2011 and for Autumn/Winter they have released a cotton and microfiber range with various designs and colours.
CK One initially came out with the standard white and black variations and the new leaves designs look great for this time of year. There is a multi-coloured version and a black and white gift pack suitable for the Christmas and New Year holidays.
There are some urban looking designs as well also available in the microfiber fabric with the CK New York Graffiti design being the most eye catching.
The CK One range is a really good fit and a little more snug than the usual Pro Stretch products and the low rise waistband is really comfortable and looks great. The microfiber fabric is luxurious, has a nice feel and looks elegant. I have been wearing various CK One trunks for the past few weeks and whilst you know what you are getting with Calvin Klein I am impressed by the fit and quality.
As always, Calvin Klein will no doubt be bringing further variations out in this very popular product line and the campaign still looks fresh, urban and young – keep it up CK.
| What | Verdict |
|---|---|
| Style and look? | The Calvin Klein – CK ONE is available in a low rise trunk or a brief. The legs are short, making them comfortable to wear. I wore the multi-coloured trunk version, and it looked and felt great. The waistband felt soft and will look great peaking out just above your jeans’ waistline, featuring the signature Calvin Klein logo and a small CK ONE tab at the back. |
| Suitable for? | Every day underwear, but that something special too. The stretchy fabric composition (91% Nylon, 9% Elastane) meant that they provided proper support and felt light. Also, you might even use them for sports if you feel like it, as this fabric composition will allow your body to breath better than regular cotton undies. |
| Fit and quality? | The fit was absolutely great due to the fabric quality. I wore a size M for a 34 inch waist but if you are larger you might want to choose a size L. The quality – as always with Calvin Klein is fantastic. |
| Is the price right? | The CK One products are very good value for money, especially for a top quality microfiber product. |
| Best thing about it? | The younger, urban designs are fresh and exciting and it’s great that Calvin Klein are producing products with a more snug fit with higher quality fabrics! |
| Overall grade | ★★★★☆ A fine new line from Calvin Klein that’ll be a hit with most guys! |

Bottoms O.U.T Boxer Brief: An Xpress Review by Guys’ Underwear Blog
By Valdamar
We have a great pair of underwear to share with you guys today! Of course that’s nothing new, we do every day and that’s why you LOVE us! I’ll be honest I hadn’t heard of Bottoms OUT before. I looked up some information about them and found that they are pretty big; where have I been? It’s about time I try these undies out.
Bottoms OUT is a pretty traditional underwear brand. They make underwear that is functional, they don’t spend too much time worrying if it’s sexy enough of if it looks stylish enough. Not that it’s lacking in either case.
It’s just underwear that you wear because you need or want to wear underwear. However, this isn’t you basic no frills cheap boring underwear (I won’t mention brands, we all know what they are). Bottoms OUT takes that fundamental blueprint of underwear and makes it a little more stylish and a little more nifty.
With the Boxer Brief Bottoms OUT has created a fabric that is great for underwear. They use a 55% cotton, %42 polyester and 3% spandex material that is breathable, looks good and retains its support and fit all day.
The back is simply flat, although the fabric stretches nicely to contour to your bubble butt. The front is the classic fly, but it does have a slight contoured design at the base creating a subtle pouch. This along with the fabric gives you a nicely supported space for your man bits.
And not only has Bottoms OUT made the underwear very practical for your lower regions, but it also looks great! They come in all kinds of fun colors and patterns. The waist band is pretty plain. There’s no logo, no brand name just a solid color with a thin strip or two around the top.
I love this look since it’s hard to find underwear with out some kind of type along the top. Sometime you don’t feel the need to scream out your underwear brand.
The colors are great, they are fashionable without being outspoken. They have a nice selection of subtle contrasts and pattern. The fit is great and the cut is just a little longer than a square cut. The inseam is only about 2 inches. So you get great coverage without it binding on your thighs.
I got two pair; one a solid grey with a single section of white trim at the fly. The waistband is black with two thin stripes, one white and another grey. The other pair is a little brighter. It’s a light grey with bold yellow stripes, thin double bright blue strip on a darker grey background stripe, and a few thin dark grey stripes. Basically yellow, blue and grey stripes. The trim and waistband are a navy blue. The waistband also has a thin blue, matching the fabrics blue stripe color, stripe near the top.
They look great!
I wore the underwear several times. They handled the day great, and even after a long day of wear the material was still supportive and hadn’t lost its supportive contour.
They were breathable, comfortable and didn’t ride nor chafe. For the most part I never even noticed they were on, which is a good sign of comfy undies that are doing their job. They were great at the gym, work and just running around town.
They are supportive enough for more active activities, yet comfortable enough for everyday around the house wear and everything in-between.
The washed well and came out with no visible signs of wear or fading; they were still good as new. They are a great quality and will last you a long time. They are perfect for your everyday underwear collection.
I am glad I discovered them.
| What | Verdict |
|---|---|
| Style and look? | They have a very casual cool look to them. They are perfect for looking stylish and fashionable but without making it seem like you are trying too hard. Perfect for that guy-next-door look. They’re simple and basic, yet pretty cool. |
| Suitable for? | They are perfect for your everyday underwear. They do everything you want and need your underwear to do while you are at work or engaged in everyday activities. They even work for some light athletic activities. |
| Fit and quality? | The fit is terrific. Having a material that is just stretchy enough to conform to you body allows them to give you that perfect fit every time. The quality is great, they will last you a long time. |
| Is the price right? | They come at $8.00. That is a GREAT price! And they are available all over the place. Again how did I miss them?. |
| Best thing about it? | The casual feel and quality. They are perfect for just being a guy. Great for you men who don’t want to make a big fuss over your underwear while looking good at the same time! |
| Overall grade | ★★★★☆ Bottoms OUT scores a whopping four stars with it’s everyday man Boxer Brief! It is definitely a pair of underwear you want to have in your drawer. And at the price you get them you can even get a pair for every day of the week. Thank you Bottoms OUT for the comfort I have found in you! |

Gregg Homme Afterhour Brief: An Xpress Review by Guys’ Underwear Blog
By Valdamar
Hello Gubbers! Hope you all are doing amazingly and had a great summer. I have another pair of incredible undies to share with you.
These ones are very unique.
I have had them a while but didn’t write this review right away for a few reason; which we will get to later. The underwear is the Gregg Hommes Afterhour Brief.
Now Gregg Homme has always provided us with underwear that just oozes out masculine sexuality. They manage to create that unique and rare combination of smooth elegance with a manly presence. I love Gregg Homme and if I ever meet him I will ask him to marry me.
But I have gone on enough about how I feel about this company in many of my past reviews for their underwear. Do a search of our website to read the other reviews.
So now let’s look at the Afterhour brief. I got this brief a few months ago. I’ve taken so long to write about this, and now the Homme company is already getting ready to release another new collection!
I have the khaki brief; however, it also comes in a trunk and a thong in red or black as well. The front pouch is made of a stretchy mesh material and allows you to protrude or be supported as much as your guys down there need.
The back is made with a material that looks like a net, but really is a sheer patterned fabric. The trim is in black and of course it has its signature metal Gregg Homme tab on the hip.
First of all I have to say this is the most beautiful pair of mens underwear you will ever see. I think this is what Gregg Homme has been working toward and as far as looks go I don’t see how they will ever top this.
It’s bold, daring, sexy and very masculine. What I appreciate the most about the Homme brand’s style is that it is pretty much always a very adult, sexy product that just overflows with manly energy. This pair of underwear is the epitome of that Homme style.
However… The reason it’s taken me so long to write about this particular pair of underwear is I haven’t been able to decide how I really feel about them.
Yes, they look phenomenal.
But I wore them several times and don’t find them the most comfortable things to have on. The front pouch isn’t bad. You can kind of feel the mesh on your crotch, but after a little while you don’t notice it and it feel just fine.
The sheer material with the net look, however, looks great but feels kind of rough. Maybe rough isn’t the right word, it’s not like sand paper, but you definitely can feel the pattern on the fabric against your butt.
I noticed it right away but figured it would fade as most undies with a raised pattern do. But throughout the day I could feel it, and it was kind of irritating. I think people thought I had bugs in my pant as I kept scratching my ass all day.
But again, they look good.
Like all Homme underwear, they are made of a very high standard and quality construction. They are a pair of underwear that will last you a long time. Although I wouldn’t wear them around as everyday undies I know they will make an appearance now and then just because they look so good.
I’ll just have to remember not to walk around scratching my back side.
And I have to admit this viewpoint of comfort may be relative, some guys may find them great and not even notice the fabric. I am the kind of guy who hates tags, they itch me and drive me crazy. I cut all of them out almost immediately. Other men don’t even notice them. So I may be a little sensitive to this feeling.
I still love Gregg Homme!
| What | Verdict |
|---|---|
| Style and look? | The style and look are amazing. This is a pair of underwear that stands out in its look, even among a collection of beautiful underwear that we find with Gregg Homme. This style is the ultimate in male sexiness and masculine charm. |
| Suitable for? | For showing off. This is a pair of underwear you wear because you want to be seen. And with its sheer quality you will be seen. However, due to the lack of comfort I wouldn’t wear them as everyday underwear, nor would I want to wear them for long periods of time. |
| Fit and quality? | They fit perfectly and the quality is outstanding. The fabric and construction of the garment is really of the highest quality. |
| Is the price right? | I have seen the Afterhours collection go anywhere from $20 to $43 depending on the style you want. I would expect to spend at least $39. This price is not too bad considering the high quality and style behind the Gregg Homme name. Yet with the lack of wearablility due to its uncomfortable feel it may be a little high. Depends on your view point. |
| Best thing about it? | The look. I have said all I can about this amazing pair of underwear. It’s beautiful! |
| Overall grade | ★★★☆☆ Gregg Homme scores three stars with the Afterhours underwear collection. They have defined themselves as a brand that brings us the highest quality in the industry when it comes to a sexy manly style an d a look that screams to the world you are a man of class and flare. It is the kind of underwear you would expect to see a man who just stripped off a tux and is now lounging with a martini relaxing in. Thank you Gregg Homme for your continuance of great masculine style. |

Pull-In Shorty: An Xpress Review by Guys’ Underwear Blog
By Valdamar
Hello underwear lovers! We have another great brand of underwear to introduce you to. You may already be aware of them they have quite an international following already.
Pull-In is a brand specializing in underwear, but also offers a variety of other clothing and accessories for men, women and children. They have a very fun urban feel to them. They definitely bring out the lighter side of underwear fashion for men with a sense of humor and an aching for fun.
The Pull-In brand mainly focuses on a boxer/brief styled boxer or the “shorty” which is not too much different but more like a square cut. They also offer a brief or “slip” in several designs.
The boxer comes in 134 designs! Some come in solids, some in comic or superheroes, and some in sports teams or almost any other fun print. So you have a huge selection to choose from. This is great underwear for any man to have to bring out his personality.
I have the Fashion Neon Shorty, so that’s what I am reviewing. There are differences in the waistband, coloring and prints as well as the style; however, they have the same kind of basic design.
The print on the fashion neon is very exuberant giving you the impression of a classic 50’s drive in. It has three standard fluorescent lights; one green, one blue and one red/pink. And spread throughout the print is the occasional green noen open sign.
The material is an 85% polyester 15% Lycra blend making it very smooth, glossy and comfortable. You can also get some styles in cotton or jacquard. The waist band is an inch and a half black elastic with “pull-in” in a large subtle pink bold font with “underwear” written in a small font underneath.
On the sides of the logo are candy canes also in the same subtle pink. The stitching along the seams matches the pink in the lettering.
Since I had never worn Pull-In’s before I was very excited to try them out. The material is great and feels very silky against your skin.
They wear well, I wore them all day and gave them some pretty good use and they handled well. I love the way they look and give you that playful youthful look. The waist band is comfortable and also has a fun presence to it.
The undies are designed without much contouring. The front and back actually don’t look much different. There is no pouch so at times I did have a little slipping around going on, requiring some adjustments.
But overall the stretchiness of the fabric makes up for any lack of detailing in contour. Pull-In brand underwear is a great addition to your collection and great for days when you need a little fun in your pants.
Not that any of you need help with that.
| What | Verdict |
|---|---|
| Style and look? | The look and style are geared to give you a young and festive look. The smooth material really brings out the bright colors and sleek attitude. The logo and surrounding décor on the waist band will show you off as a man who has style but isn’t snobby about it. |
| Suitable for? | Everyday underwear. It’s also great for any day you need a pick me up or an extra reason to smile. I would also recommend these undies for showing off. They’re great for an underwear party or other underwear event. |
| Fit and quality? | The fit is good. It could use a pouch for added support, but the material offers plenty of comfort. If you are a boxer guy you will love the feel. It’s not too restrictive and very free flowing. The quality is also very good; you will have these undies for a long time to come. |
| Is the price right? | The Pull-In Shorty comes at $39.99. That is a little expensive; however, for the quality and look you get it’s not too bad. |
| Best thing about it? | It’s funky, fun and fresh! Although there are other companies offering this kind of design I don’t see a lot with this variety or this smooth silky fabric. It is a very unique look and design. |
| Overall grade | ★★★☆☆ Pull-In get three stars for their Shorty undies. Although I didn’t try the boxer, brief or slip I am sure they all live up to this same quality and fab look. I am happy to have added this shorty to my collection and look forward to seeing where Pull-In takes us in the future. They are definitely a company to watch out for. |

BOQARI men’s underwear: An Xpress Review by Guys’ Underwear Blog
By Valdamar
I always love exploring a new world of underwear and just when you think you have tried every kind of underwear out there you get an exciting new adventure thrown at you. Case in question: BOQARI.
You may have heard of this new brand that launched exclusively on Amazon in April of 2010. Nowadays it’s available on their online store and everyday it’s growing in popularity.
The concept behind this windswept desert of Arizona born underwear is that of adventure and legend. BOQARI is taking your underwear for a wild ride. The look of BOQARI is simple yet elegant, not what you would expect from an adventurous concept, but it’s durable and actually great for travel.
As the easy to use washing instructions state “Hand Wash With Mild Soap and Warm Water, Squeeze, and Hang Dry”, so you could travel with 2 pair alternating wash and wear. Plus they take up very little space. Of course I don’t think this was the idea, but I think it would be great for a back packer.
So what makes BOQARI so different? BOQARI undies are woven on Italian Jacquard machines using an ultra-soft, comfortable, body hugging nylon blend. Seamless knitting technology weaves the garment in a seamless circle, meaning there are no front, back, or side seams.
They are ideal for sporting under form fitting pants, for yoga, lounging, swimming, or playtime! They really are seamless; the only seams would be located between the legs which would not be seen anyway. They have a very European sophistication to them. They are elegant, sexy and very stylish.
Some would question the “manly” factor of these undies, are they too frilly so that they come across feminine? The answer is no… and yes.
Honestly that depends on you!
A man with a strong feminine side may have that highlighted by the almost lace look of the mesh designs or the fact that they fit so smoothly and flat. However a manly man in the same underwear will have his masculinity brought out by the undertone of the subtle framing of the square cut and his muscles will definitely be contoured perfectly. The soft, stretchy and silhouette-defining material will make you feel and look sexy whatever your personality.
The BOQARI collection comes in a solid Argyle and Square Jacquard, or in a Jamaica Mesh, a Square Mesh or a BQ Signature Mesh (with BOQARI written in mesh around the sides and back).
The undies come in black, dried herb, euro grey, lavender, amparo, lily green, vanilla, sky blue, jet black, old school grey, spank me purple, bad boy blue, Modena red, paparazzi pink, midnight blue, irie yellow and turquoise depending on the style – so you have a huge selection to choose from.
I have a euro grey Jamaica Mesh, the meshiest of the mesh, and a black Square Mesh. I wore them several times and have to admit they really make you feel sexy! They come in two sizes s/m, and l/xl, which may seem limiting but the material, which is a 95% nylon 5% spandex blend, is so stretchy they will fit any build within their general sizing.
The flat front of the underwear is without a pouch yet again the stretchiness allows your guys to have room down there. However, if you are looking for support in an athletic way the underwear doesn’t offer much.
The mesh is kind of large, not just like a pair of basketball shorts, and primarily with the Jamaica Mesh it was noticeable as I could feel the mesh rubbing my butt when I moved. But it wasn’t uncomfortable or irritating, just noticeable.
I wore the underwear through everything several times giving them a good test and they held out well. I was pretty comfortable, not a lot of chaffing or continual adjusting being needed, nor did I feel like I was “unprotected” under my jeans (if you know what I mean).
I even tried the simple hand wash and dry and they came out nice and fresh! I did notice that after a few wears there were some snags and minor runs around the mesh.
I think the BOQARI collection of underwear is a great addition to any man’s collection and is great for those days when you need a little extra class and sexiness in your life.
BOQARI also offers tank tops which almost have a muscle shirt appearance and match the underwear’s fabric. You can also pick up a BOQARI getaway bag or some pretty styling out ear buds or speakers.
I look forward to seeing what BOQARI has in store for us in the future; this is definitely a company to keep an eye on.
| What | Verdict |
|---|---|
| Style and look? | They have a European elegance with a sleek sexiness. They are smooth and form-fitting and will define any man’s assets perfectly. The mesh styles offer a little more of an in-your-face sexiness without being overstated. They unquestionably have a unique style and look and it’s HOT! |
| Suitable for? | This underwear is perfect for a special night out with a worthy date. Also great for showing off, particularly if you want to be the sexy one at an underwear party. Whoever you allow to see them will have their eyes on you. Although they can be work as everyday underwear, I would probably save them for a special occasion. |
| Fit and quality? | They elasticity of the fabric allows for a perfect fit for just about every man, even a woman. The material will mold to fit your unique body shape. The quality is good despite a few runs and snags after some wear. |
| Is the price right? | Normally the BOQARI underwear goes for $39.95 which can be kind of high, although the unique style and quality do make them worth that price. However they are all on sale now for $19.95 which is a great price! So get them before this collection is gone. |
| Best thing about it? | The smooth seamless look and feel that gives you a confidence you carry with you all the live long day. They aren’t your everyday looking undies. I love the uniqueness. |
| Overall grade | ★★★☆☆ BOQARI scores a three star rating with their seamless underwear! They have created a look and style that really sets them apart. Not that it has never been before but it’s a road that has been less traveled in the world of men’s underwear. So they live up to their mission of adventure and legend and stick to their creed: “Follow your passion. Escape your chains. And wear whatever the f*** you want”. |

Skivvies ManPower Enhancement Pouch Trunk – An Xpress review by Guys’ Underwear Blog
By Jay
Today I am reviewing a completely new brand, Skivvies!
Actually, the brand is a spin-off adventure by one of the largest online men’s underwear stores, Skivviesmensunderwear.com.
The announcement of the new Skivvies underwear range had us all pretty excited here at GUB.
Why? Well, the online underwear retailers get their hands on more underwear from more brands than most avid undies fans like you and I. So I’m thinking, they must know have the best hands-on knowledge of what great underwear should look like, feel like, and cost.
About a month ago the new range was released and included a number of different trunk and brief cuts, most of which were in the bulge-enhancing category.
Smart move, because from what we hear, this category is by far the fastest-growing category in the underwear business. Recession may be upon us, but guys around the globe will apparently prioritize an impressive bulge over all else.
Naturally, we approve of this development, LOL.
Anyway, I was fortunate enough to get a sample of the Skivvies ManPower Enhancement Pouch Trunk for a review here on the blog.
It’s what I would call an aggressive bulge-enhancer suitable for everyday wear. And I don’t mean aggressive in any negative way. I’m simply referring to the technology employed to lift your package up and out. A technology that in no way disappoints.
Skivvies makes use of an elastic pocket-type container into which you fit your penis and balls – much like profile-enhancing undies from major brands like aussieBum and Andrew Christian.
Skivvies’ approach to adding lift is very effective and will have men of all “sizes” appear like well-endowed Adonises below the waist.
I was happy to notice that this lift feature, as well as the overall feel of the trunk, was surprisingly comfortable, which in no small way is probably due to the soft and stretchy 93% Polyester, 7% Spandex fabric mix.
The fabric and production quality is fine, and I would recommend that you follow the washing instruction (cold wash only) to preserve stretch, fit, and color the longest.
Overall, this is a very nice and satisfactory pair of underwear with amazing lift capabilities.
The Skivvies ManPower Enhancement Pouch Trunk indeed makes for a promising start for the Skivvies brand.
See my final grade and more details – including where to buy it – in the review box below the pictures.
| What | Verdict |
|---|---|
| Style and look? | The Skivvies ManPower Enhancement Pouch Trunk has the look of a traditional low-rise trunk but with a few distinct details. One, obviously, is the massive bulge you’ll be sporting and which is framed very visibly by color-contrasting stitching. Another key feature is the center seam in the back which helps accentuate your buttocks. |
| Suitable for? | The trunk can easily be worn for everyday activities due to the stretchy fabrics and non-chafing pouch pocket. Most men would probably save bulge-enhancing underwear like this for festive occasions where you want to make an impression, for instance underneath a tight pair of jeans. That is one hot look! |
| Fit and quality? | The fit was absolutely fine. Besides proper sizing (a size M for my 32/33 inch waist was a perfect match), naturally the Polyester/Spandex mix makes for a very forgiving and adaptive fabric mix. The production and fabric quality seem fine for a mid-range product like this. |
| Is the price right? | Skivvies ManPower Enhancement Pouch Trunk is $28 USD. This is fair price for a mid-range product. This is bulge-enhancing underwear that everyone can afford. |
| Best thing about it? | The well-mastered pouch pocket that gets lift job done in comfortable and impressive manner. |
| Overall grade | ★★★★☆ A well-deserved four star grade puts the ManPower Enhancement Pouch Trunk in class with many huge brands that have been in the enhancement business for ages. Skivvies has done well with its first range of profile-enhancing undies, and we can’t wait to see what the Skivvies team comes up with next. |

aussieBum Flame Boxer Brief – An Xpress review by Guys’ Underwear Blog
By Jay
aussieBum‘s new Flame range was released a couple of months ago, and I’ve been lucky enough to give this brand new boxer brief a good test run.
It’s no secret that I’ve been loyal aussieBum fan for years now. I love their designs, the production quality, and the whole down-under-smart-casual-fashion-forward image they’ve got going on.
The Flame boxer brief (or hipster in aB terms) is actually a very regularly cut pair of men’s underwear – far from aB’s infamous bulge-enhancing undies and swimwear. And what’s more is, the Flame range does not include briefs!
I know! I was shocked as well. Not that I have anything against boxer briefs – I wear them all the time – it’s just, aussieBum makes such great briefs. So, naturally I was excited about trying on the Flame boxer brief, just to see if it would feel as awesome as the rest of my collection of aB undies.
Also, I was looking forward to returning to a pair of underwear with a heavily dominating waistband, a men’s underwear fashion feature that has been fading for a while. And let me tell you right now, the Flame boxer brief’s waistband is a spotlight stealer.
Anyway, I’ll leave the details to the actual review below the pics. Long story short, I really dig my new aussieBums – the Flame hipster definitely sparked a renewed interest on my part in the boxer brief category overall.
Love it!
| What | Verdict |
|---|---|
| Style and look? | The aussieBum Flame hipster is a standard cut trunk/boxer brief. The legs are short, though not as short as your typical trunk or square cut brief. I wore the white version with the flaming red waistband, and it looked awesome. Very masculine. And the the thick waistband felt soft and will look great peaking out just above your jeans’ waistline. Also, the branded waistband embossed in silicon gives the Flame boxer brief an exclusive, high-end look and feel. |
| Suitable for? | Almost all types of purposes. I wore them for several days of work (don’t worry, I washed them in between), and the stretchy fabric composition (59% Polyester, 31% Cotton, 10% Elastane) meant that the undies provided proper support and felt light. Also, you might even use them for sports if you feel like it, as this fabric composition will allow your body to breath better than regular cotton undies. |
| Fit and quality? | The fit was absolutely great, which is also heavily due to the great fabric mix. I wore a size L for a 33 inch waist, and it didn’t come off as too loose nor too tight. If you’re normally a size 32 inch waist, a size M might also fit well, simply because the fabric is so stretchy. And the quality – as always with aussieBum, perfect. I’ve washed it now several times, and the fabric is still crispy white. The waistband is also still in mint condition. |
| Is the price right? | The aussieBum Flame hipster is $25.30 USD. This is normal for a pair aBs and translates to good value for money. |
| Best thing about it? | The cool, thick waistband and the super soft and super comfortable fabric mix. Wear them with a low-rise pair of jeans and you’ll be stealing looks wherever you go. |
| Overall grade | ★★★★☆ aussieBum receives a solid 4 star grade for another Australian underwear hit! aB proves that you can do a lot with few means and have managed to give a classic cut a fresh new look. I’m sure it’ll be a big seller. |
