Have you guys had enough of aussieBum yet? Of course you haven’t. One can never get enough of this Australian underwear wonder.
Previously this week we have looked closer at some of the brand’s most recent additions such as the Original Classic Brief and the Billy Brief. Both excellent examples of supreme underwear craftsmanship.
Today we return to the core of the aB brand; the feature that made them a global household name among underwear fans – the profile-enhancing brief. Of course, it all started with the now infamous Wonderjock back in the day. Since then, aussieBum have launched an endless string of various enhancing underwear ranges.
And now there’s a new one to add to the mix: The EnlargeIT collection. And as you can tell from the images and video below, it does what it promises. If you’re looking for a bit of lift and accentuation of the bulge area, the EnlargeIT brief or trunk should be a serious contender.
Inspired by the original WonderJock technology – ‘EnlargeIT’ utilises a new ergonomic pouch to maximize comfort, and give you a lift where it counts. Made from a smooth cotton-elastane blend, the new design features dual air vents for increased breathability and a super-soft microfibre waistband.
The EnlargeIT brief is a reasonable $21.40 USD and you can get it here: www.aussiebum.com/underwear/2122.
Enjoy the pics and video, and have a great weekend guys!
For those of you who have tried “profile enhancing” underwear made by Obviously, John Sievers, 2xist, Gregg Homme and their competitors, and have thought to yourself, “gee, this brief really does not give me the bulge I am looking for,” your requests for more bulge have been answered. Lobbo’s Matteo Support Ring Bikini Brief will provide you with a bulge that will give the impression that your endowment rivals that belonging to any farm animal.
While some profile enhancing briefs provide a larger pouch (e.g., John Sievers, Obviously) or a bit of a lift (e.g., 2xist, Tulio) or a distinct contour (e.g., Ergowear), what sets the Matteo Support Ring Bikini Brief apart from its competitors is its panel design featuring a built in c-ring. Behind the pouch is a separate panel with a hole surrounded by elastic. Once you fit your entire package through the hole, it’s protruded forward against the front pouch creating a bulge bursting effect. The pouch itself is large, but sits kind of high, so along with the big push forward, the brief lifts you up. The bulge enhancement provided by this feature is truly remarkable.
Given that I wore the Matteo Support Ring Bikini Brief in preparation for writing this review, I was curious to see how they felt just running around town, but I only made it to the end of my block before I turned around to go home and change out of them. No question about it — there was a really noticeable bulge, front and center and it was a bit extreme. (If I saw another guy with such a bulge, I’d think he had rolled-up sock in his underwear.) Wearing them around the house, they were comfortable at first but, after an hour or so, the tightness of the elastic pulling on my package made me want to take them off. And because the front panel occupies most of the space in the front, the Matteo Support Ring Bikini Brief is not made to be worn without using the c-ring. Also, likely due to the lift provided by the brief, there is a seam in the middle of the pouch that looks sort of bunchy.
Tthe Matteo Support Ring Bikini Brief is made of a smooth, stretchy microfiber blend (80% nylon/20% spandex) that felt good against my skin, and I liked the full coverage in the back, but I almost forgot to mention those features in the review because this brief is all about the bulge. I’ve never worn anything made by Lobbo before but I give the company credit for resetting the bar for profile enhancing briefs.

Let me just put it right out there: this may be the most comfortable underwear that I’ve ever worn. Over the years, I have personally tried many, many styles, read a lot of reviews and seen a lot of ads, but John Sievers California Gold Natural Pouch Brief exceeded any expectations that I had. I own other briefs about which I say, “I love these!” but wearing the John Sievers Gold Natural Pouch Brief is the first time that I ever felt a pair of underwear loved me back.
The briefs are designed to give you the sensation of freeballing, but they didn’t make me feel like I was wearing something tacky. They made me feel, well, as the name says: “natural.” Like, “this is the underwear that men are meant to wear.” The fit was absolutely perfect. They run true to size (maybe even a little large); I tried on a medium and a small and found that the small was a better fit.
The front pouch was perfectly sized and shaped. I’ve worn other pouch style briefs before and I’ve noticed that the front sometimes can feel a little saggy — like there’s no support at all. The John Sievers California Gold Natural Pouch Brief did not leave me with that sensation. Plus, the back is gives you full coverage so they will not feel like they are riding up. The fabric is a very soft and smooth microfiber blend made of 95% Modal, 5% Lycra; the sides are 3”.
The styling really appealed to me as well. The John Sievers California Gold Natural Pouch Brief is available in a variety of colors (white, black, gray and navy) and all have a gold waistband. If you are like me and don’t like big logos or names on your underwear, the look of the waistband will likely appeal to you, too. Although, JOHN SIEVERS is printed on the waistband, it is also in gold, so the branding was subtle. Personally, I think the navy and gold combination brought a classic, masculine look to these otherwise untraditional briefs. I also like the gray and gold combination that I saw on internationaljock.com.
I wore the John Sievers California Gold Natural Pouch Brief to work, out with friends for drinks and while riding my bike, and they felt natural in all environments. Granted, unless you are looking for a lot of attention, I would not recommend wearing them to the gym with shorts. But in any other situation, you will be glad to have these on. If it is any indication as to how much I liked the John Sievers California Gold Natural Pouch Brief, please note that I actually washed them at the end of the night just so I could wear them the following day.
|Style and look?||Low rise, natural front pouch briefs.|
|Suitable for?||Office, running errands, nights out, nights in, underwear parties, hot dates.|
|Fit and quality?||Flawless.|
|Is the price right?||$26.95 isn’t cheap, but the briefs are incredible.|
|Best thing about it?||They perfectly conformed to my body to the point where I felt like I wasn’t wearing anything.|

The 2wink Australia guys are at it again!
Made with the luxury modal fabric, 2wink Australia is giving guys a new option in comfort and fit. These new low-rider briefs accentuate and add a little extra contouring to guys of any size.
Modal is one of our FAVORITE fabrics. It is a semi-synthetic fiber that absorbs 50% more water than cotton, and which, unlike cotton, is resistant to fading and shrinking.
“I’ve always believed that all men should feel sexy in their underwear,” says 2wink Australia co-owner Carl McNeill – who is in fact a good friend of GUB. “With the Platinum range, we’ve created a pair of low-rider briefs that comes in three different colors and that provides you with comfort, fit and style! They make you feel sexy while making you look even sexier!”
The 100% Aussie-made Platinum range is available exclusively in low-rider briefs that come in black, red or white and feature a smooth-touch waistband. This silky soft modal fabric will show off your package and fit your rear like a second skin. Platinum low-rider briefs retail for under $30 USD (with free worldwide shipping), and are available at www.2wink.com.au.
In the crowded marketplace of men’s underwear, it can be challenging to differentiate yourself from the competition. But some companies, likeMcKillop, do a fantastic job at this. Not only do they offer a wide range of appealing underwear, but they’re the only company I know of that has a Custom Department that will hand-craft underwear specifically according to your requests (extra large pouch, etc.). They also have a Concierge Desk that will send you a swatch of the fabric for $1, so you can feel it before you place an order! From a service perspective I’m truly amazed by McKillop.
For this review, I tried two pair of their underwear: One I loved and the other I liked. So let’s start with the former.
Traveler Brief: Minimalistic 2nd Skin Undies – I try on a lot of underwear, but it’s rare that I have a “wow moment”. Well, this pair did that for me. It offers the benefits of a low-rise bikini brief, but the back-side provides enough coverage and support so that the fabric will stay in place (unlike several other brands I’ve tried where the bottom portion of my rear doesn’t get fully covered by the fabric).
For a minimal brief, there are so many things I love about them. The fabric, 92% modal and 8% spandex, feels like ultra-soft cotton, but is more durable and will hold its shape over time. Adding to the comfort is the fact that that fabric is very thin, which makes it live up to the “2nd skin” name. The brief is designed to fit like a glove, providing support and always staying in place. And there’s virtually no waistband; there’s just an ultra-thin elastic band. My overall verdict for these is that they’re comfortable, sexy and great for every day wear.
Elevate/Rear Enhancing Brief – This is another unique pair of underwear…it’s basically a low-rise jock strap, but has fabric that covers the backside. And the name is definitely accurate because these briefs really do elevate the rear to make it look more fit and attractive.
Although you’ll be able to feel the rear elastic lifting/supporting your back side, the front pouch offers much more freedom. The pouch is comfortable, but I’d actually prefer a little more containment. Just be careful wearing these with slim-fit pants because your crotch may appear more prominent than you’re comfortable with.
|Style and look?||Both pair offer sex appeal and unique styling.|
|Suitable for?||Both pair are great for everyday wear, but the Rear Enhancing Brief may make your pouch noticeable if you’re wearing slim fit pants.|
|Fit and quality?||They both fit incredibly well, are made from quality materials and offer impressive construction.|
|Is the price right?||Around $25 for the 2nd Skin Briefs is appropriate. The Rear Enhancing Brief costs around $60, which is on the high end, but if you want underwear that makes your rear look better, it’s worth the price.|
|Best thing about it?||For the 2nd Skin Briefs it’s definitely the feel. For the Rear Enhancing Brief it’s how it lifts/enhances your back side.|

In a vote for the best brief a man can get it wouldn’t make sense not to include one of the many great briefs by what is, quite frankly, one of most interesting and innovating American underwear brands at the moment.
N2N has been a front-runner for years in the category of profile-enhancing and sexy men’s underwear. Take a look at the N2N website, and you will find a variety of cuts and designs unlike few other men’s underwear brands. With their obvious passion for fashion, along with their willingness to explore totally new designs, N2N manages to reinvent themselves season after season.
Deciding which N2N brief to include in this year’s vote was no easy task. We finally chose the Performance X Brief – for several reasons.
This year’s vote include briefs made from wide range of fabrics. The Performance X Brief, too, has a very distinct mesh fabric composition consisting of 96% micro polyester and 4% spandex. Translation: It is an excellent choice for guys who want maximum ventilation. The low-rise profile of the brief along with nHANCE pouch make it an obvious choice for wearing under low-rise jeans or shorts on hot summer nights.
You can even wear them for sports activities as this fabric type is excellent for wicking moisture from your skin.
Finally, just look at it! It is, plain and simple, a drop-dead gorgeous brief that accentuates the male body in all the right ways.
The brief is $27 USD and you can get over at www.n2nbodywear.com.
If the N2N Performance X Brief is your choice for Brief of the Year 2012, then simply cast your vote in the poll below. Remember to also sign up to our newsletter at the top left corner of this page to take part in our Brief of the Year 2012 giveaway. Once the vote is over we will send off a pair of the winning undies to five lucky guys.
I’m constantly amazed at the variety of underwear in the marketplace that is designed to accentuate parts of the body. The majority of these focus on the crotch, but there are many of us out there that want the appearance of a fuller, rounder backside. For those of us in this category, Butt For You has a great product to check out.
Butt For You manufactures padded underwear that accomplishes two goals: an enhanced backside and additional comfort while sitting on hard surfaces. Their range of underwear consists solely of boxer briefs, but they’re available in seven different colors. The pads are good quality foam and the rest of the underwear is comprised of comfortable and breathable fabric that’s 95% combed cotton and 5% spandex. Another nice feature is that the brand name isn’t on the exterior of the product, so no one will know that you’re wearing padded underwear unless they look very closely or pat you on the butt.
Here’s how the product works: When selecting the underwear you want, you also select the size of the padding you’d like. The pads are available in two sizes (slim = 5/8” and regular = 7/8”) and can be inserted or removed as you choose. This is the only product on the market that I know of where you can adjust the rear padding!
So what’s it like to wear them? They’re comfortable and can provide added confidence and sex appeal if you want a rounder looking backside. If you have a very flat butt, you should probably opt for the regular size pads, but if you have a small butt that you just want to be a little rounder, go for the slim pads. I’m in the second category, so when I tried the regular size pads, I found them to be too large for me.
This underwear is a great choice not only for guys who want a rounder-looking rear end, but also for guys who feel uncomfortable when sitting on hard surfaces for a while (IE: long flights). And they’re well-made, so they should last a long time. The only thing I’d change would be to eliminate (or alter) the stitching on the crotch, but that’s it. These boxer briefs are definitely worth checking out.
|Style and look?||Butt-Padded Boxer Briefs.|
|Suitable for?||Wear them when you want to fill out the seat of your pants more. They’re also great to wear when sitting on hard surfaces for long periods of time..|
|Fit and quality?||They fit well, are constructed well and are made from quality materials.|
|Is the price right?||They’re $43.95. Considering the uniqueness and quality of the item, they’re appropriately priced.|
|Best thing about it?||The appearance of a fuller, rounder butt (if you need it).|

Today we introduce you to a new underwear brand that we have yet to cover here at Guys’ Underwear Blog: Activeman. The brand was recently introduced over at Jockstrap Central – and it caught out interest.
Activeman is best known for it’s affordable traditional jockstraps. But it actually offers a much wider selection.
Now, if you wanna skip to the hot picture set, simply scroll down and enjoy the looks of male underwear model, Draven Torres. Don’t you just love those tattoos?
Take their Liberty Trunk, for instance. It is constructed of one of our favorite fabrics: Modal. Modal is a processed bio-based textile made from the beech tree. In many ways, a modal acts like cotton but with the advantages of rayon. It’s soft, smooth and breathes well. It is cool to the touch and very absorbent with a resistance to shrinkage. Modal is also less likely to fade or to form pills as a result of friction and stays soft through repeated washings. Of course, our favorite feature of modal is simply it’s stretchability and it’s nature to expand adapting to anything that may pop up!
The Activeman Sports Brief is constructed of a sturdy but stretchy cotton with a touch of Elastane. The fully formed and roomy ergonomic 3d pouch ensures the utmost in comfort for a guy. And though it has no lift functionality per say, the pictures below don’t lie: This underwear will make the most of your bulge.
As for price, Activeman is extremely affordable. The Liberty Trunk is only $14.95 and comes in both white and black. The Sports Brief is only $12.95 and comes in black, white and grey. If you’re looking for the perfect everyday underwear that’s totally affordable, stylish, comfortable and built to last then we think we’ve found it for you with the newly launched Activeman Underwear now at Jockstrap Central.

Photography was done for us by MusclePix of Colorado (Valdamar). Our model is Shane Diesel, relation to Vin is unknown, a body builder, model and all around great guy.
This was the first time Shane had ever worn a jock! EVER! And with AussieBums little lifting pouch inside it was great to see the look on his face as I handed him his wardrobe.
Shane has always been a boxer brief guy but after the briefs and jocks for this shoot he said “I’m switching from boxer briefs to [briefs]“.
He also mentioned his girlfriend was going to be happy about this change. I hope she enjoyed this jock as it was what he wore home after the shoot.
Enjoy the picture underwear lovers, there are more coming!
