McKillop underwear: An Xpress Review by Guys’ Underwear Blog
By Jeff
In the crowded marketplace of men’s underwear, it can be challenging to differentiate yourself from the competition. But some companies, likeMcKillop, do a fantastic job at this. Not only do they offer a wide range of appealing underwear, but they’re the only company I know of that has a Custom Department that will hand-craft underwear specifically according to your requests (extra large pouch, etc.). They also have a Concierge Desk that will send you a swatch of the fabric for $1, so you can feel it before you place an order! From a service perspective I’m truly amazed by McKillop.
For this review, I tried two pair of their underwear: One I loved and the other I liked. So let’s start with the former.
Traveler Brief: Minimalistic 2nd Skin Undies – I try on a lot of underwear, but it’s rare that I have a “wow moment”. Well, this pair did that for me. It offers the benefits of a low-rise bikini brief, but the back-side provides enough coverage and support so that the fabric will stay in place (unlike several other brands I’ve tried where the bottom portion of my rear doesn’t get fully covered by the fabric).
For a minimal brief, there are so many things I love about them. The fabric, 92% modal and 8% spandex, feels like ultra-soft cotton, but is more durable and will hold its shape over time. Adding to the comfort is the fact that that fabric is very thin, which makes it live up to the “2nd skin” name. The brief is designed to fit like a glove, providing support and always staying in place. And there’s virtually no waistband; there’s just an ultra-thin elastic band. My overall verdict for these is that they’re comfortable, sexy and great for every day wear.
Elevate/Rear Enhancing Brief – This is another unique pair of underwear…it’s basically a low-rise jock strap, but has fabric that covers the backside. And the name is definitely accurate because these briefs really do elevate the rear to make it look more fit and attractive.
Although you’ll be able to feel the rear elastic lifting/supporting your back side, the front pouch offers much more freedom. The pouch is comfortable, but I’d actually prefer a little more containment. Just be careful wearing these with slim-fit pants because your crotch may appear more prominent than you’re comfortable with.
| What | Verdict |
|---|---|
| Style and look? | Both pair offer sex appeal and unique styling. |
| Suitable for? | Both pair are great for everyday wear, but the Rear Enhancing Brief may make your pouch noticeable if you’re wearing slim fit pants. |
| Fit and quality? | They both fit incredibly well, are made from quality materials and offer impressive construction. |
| Is the price right? | Around $25 for the 2nd Skin Briefs is appropriate. The Rear Enhancing Brief costs around $60, which is on the high end, but if you want underwear that makes your rear look better, it’s worth the price. |
| Best thing about it? | For the 2nd Skin Briefs it’s definitely the feel. For the Rear Enhancing Brief it’s how it lifts/enhances your back side. |
| Overall grade | ★★★★★ |

Introducing Mckillop Underwear for Men: Jockstrap Joy!
By Chris
The world of underwear is always expanding, sometimes so fast that we can’t even keep up! We try, though, to bring you fresh, new, and interesting brands from all over the world; this one’s coming from Canada (seems like Canada’s catching up to Australia)!
Mckillop underwear, created in 2009, is a specialty brand that sells jockstraps and pouches to men who want a no-frills, sexy design to show off their ass(ets). The underwear exists in a variety of styles, including: a “Power” pouch and jock, the classic 1.5” pouch and jock, and the classic 3” pouch and jock, each one offering a sexy look to get you in the mood! Keep in mind, these are all sheer (mesh), so save them for when you really want to feel special.
The jocks and pouches all offer frontal enhancement to make you look (and feel) that much more impressive. For those of you who may be unfamiliar with the pouch style, it is basically a jockstrap but without the straps, which means more freedom and a sexier feel.
A pair of Mckillop underwear will cost you about $20 depending on the style, which is about average for the product type.
Mckillop underwear is available at many online retailers, including topdrawers, Planet Undies, AlphaMaleUndies and DealByEthan.com. You can also get them directly from Mckillop’s online store.
Be on the lookout soon for our review of two different Mckillop collections, but if you’re curious in the meantime (we know you are), hop on over to one of those retailers and buy a pair!
