Many of you are probably already familiar with the Kiniki brand as they’ve been designing and manufacturing underwear and swimwear in England since 1970. Maybe you’re familiar with their ranges of tan-through swimwear or maybe you’ve seen some of their underwear in stores. But whether you’ve never heard of them before or have worn their products in the past, you should check out what they’ve been up to recently.
For this review, I tried underwear in three different lines. The Latimer, Carnaby and Camden lines each offer a comprehensive range of 11 hipsters, briefs, tangas and thongs. And all of the styles are made from a poly elastane material that offers high elasticity and low moisture absorbency.
The difference between each line is the main pattern. The Latimer line offers a bluish reptilian print, Carnaby has a vibrant multi-colored print that looks like clusters of growing crystals and Camden is made from a bold multi-colored geometric pattern. Some of the underwear is made entirely of these patterns, while others only incorporate the patterns in the waistbands. So it just depends on how bold you want to be.
Hipster – The hipster I tried has a wide silver waistband, but the rest of the material contains the pattern. Both the shaped front pouch and the seam up the back panel accentuate your contours and provide support. So the overall look is flattering because of the cut and bold because of the print. And they’re pretty comfortable.
Brief – What I like most about this brief is that it offers the freedom, support and sex appeal of a brief, but comes with a full-cut back. The brief I tried was made entirely from the patterned material, with the exception of the wide silver waistband.
Micro Brief – How do I describe the micro brief… Well, it’s very low rise, tighter fitting, and the back covers ¾ of your seat, so it’s pretty revealing. For all of these reasons, it’s not my usual style. The micro brief is for a guy who’s comfortable with less coverage than briefs offer.
My overall verdict is that Kiniki offers a range of styles, colors and patterns for just about every taste. So they offer something for every guy. I know that some guys prefer cotton, but the material in the ranges I tried is comfortable and durable.
Good job Kiniki! See an assortment of the wonderful styles described above and some of the other designs below.
|Style and look?||A variety of styles with distinctive colors/patterns.|
|Suitable for?||The variety of styles means that you’ll find something that’s suitable for everything. Also, the material is good for working out because it transfers moisture to the surface for fast evaporation.|
|Fit and quality?||Quality craftsmanship. The fits are comfortable, but the micro brief runs on the tighter side.|
|Is the price right?||The styles I tried range in price from $12.99 to $15.99, so the prices are great.|
