Excited, are you, about the last set of /baskit/ pictures?
Well, you need to wait no more as today we bring you four more brand new photos of Jack Makenroth, shot by Ray John Pila.
How ridiculously fit is Jack, huh? He must be doing that Insanity training program that’s quite popular at the moment…
Anyway, we really like /baskit/’s 2011 designs, underwear and swimwear – all of which you can take a closer look at and buy at www.baskitwear.com.
FYI, /baskit/ briefs usually start around $16 USD, so you don’t have to spend much to get the look of the luscious Mr. Makenroth.
Here at GUB we LOVE the photography work done by men’s underwear brand, /baskit/.
And lucky for underwear fans around the world, now they’re at it again.
Nothing is sexier to the folks at /baskit/ than a hot guy who works hard for what he believes in. Thats why when super sexy fashion designer, model, and former Project Runway contestant, Jack Makenroth, shared his love of Baskit, the /baskit/ team couldn’t help ask him to shed his clothes and show all of us his ultra ripped body in /baskit/’s new collections for 2011 including deLuxe, Energy and Outlines.
Clearly, Jack’s hard work at the gym is paying off! And we all get to enjoy the benefits.
Today we bring you the first four out of a total of eight new pictures, all shot by the talented Ray John Pila. Tomorrow we will bring the final four.
Enjoy, and remember to visit www.baskitwear.com to shop for the styles worn by Jack.
aussieBum has been the epitome of the carefree, fun and laid back attitude of Australia since they started making swimwear back in 2001.
Fortunately for us underwear lovers the iconic company expanded it’s grace to undies and more. The look and fashion of the underwear that aussieBum has put out has always captured the manner Australia is known for, that of being a happy-go-lucky relaxed environment. The company has never taken itself too seriously and that has translated well into their underwear and even better onto the men who throw on the pants. And we love aussieBum for this.
However, one of aussieBum’s latest designs, the “Man Brief“, takes a step away from the Bum Pattern.
First of all, I love the name! The concept is simple, almost too simple for aussieBum. It’s a basic bikini styled brief, cotton blend in a charcoal (almost black) and white. No frills, no comics, no bright in your face youthful colors just underwear plain and simple.
Of course that is simple from a “designer underwear” point of view. The brief reminds me of something you would see done by Jockey, I actually have a few Jockeys made in this style. But again it’s a brilliant design I am not putting it down.
The fabric is actually only 31% cotton and 59% polyester for a subtle dull shine and added durability and color retention. It also has 10% elastane for the support and shape retention the cheaper undies never have. Although, I kind of find the larger portion of polyester – as opposed to cotton – a little unexpected; it gives the brief a little more of a sturdy feel and look that other similarly styled briefs with more cotton don’t have.
The shape is very good at drawing attention to the masculine features of your body with a slightly lower waist and somewhat higher legs.
The pouch is also somewhat restrained in that it allows a bulge to protrude but not to the scale some undies do, it’s more natural and practical providing support and comfort.
The waist has a one inch elastic band covered by the material for a smooth look. The whole garment is basically one solid color with an understated “aussieBum” logo on the left hip. I think this is a great pair of underwear and although I love the fun lighter side of underwear design aussieBum is known for I really appreciate this step toward the more no-nonsense side of underwear.
I am always excited when I am getting a pair of Australian underwear in the mail! And we have a plethora of Australian underwear designers to choose from today.
I was surprised but excited by the more mature and monotonous appearance of this brief - that is by aussieBum standards. I wore the briefs at the very next underwear change, which happens several times a day for me.
But I did wear the undies a few times and for full days. The briefs are as comfortable as they look. The polyester is a little more solid and not as giving nor breathable as cotton but there is enough cotton in there that it isn’t really noticeable.
One good thing the polyester adds is that it gives the brief a more sleek feel and look while adding a fine shine that is very subtle. The brief looks good and is great for just about everything. I wore it through a whole day’s activity and it handled everything perfectly and gave me the comfort and support I need.
This is a great pair of underwear!
|Style and look?||The Man Brief has a very standard look while giving your manly features a little boost. As the name implies this brief is built for a man and gives you the style of a modern everyday man with a plan.|
|Suitable for?||Everyday wear. This brief has the look, support and comfort to take you through any occasion. It’s a very practical and wearable pair of underwear.|
|Fit and quality?||The fit is great I was very comfortable in these briefs without feeling like I constantly had to adjust myself or the underwear. The quality is also very good. The fabric is durable and the construction is of a high quality and it wears and washes well. This brief should last you a long time.|
|Is the price right?||The Man Brief comes at $23.66 which isn’t a bad price for a pair of aussieBums of this quality.|
|Best thing about it?||The comfort and support. Again, this is a brief that meant to be worn and it looks good. I love the fact that it looks like a pretty basic brief but it has a style all it’s own.|
aussieBum score four stars with the Man Brief. It’s a little bit of a step out of Aussiebums usual flare but it still carries its own style that is straightforward but at the same time unique in its take on the classic bikini brief. You feel the support and comfort while giving off a little shine. Great job aussiebum!
June don’t go! It’s too soon!
Well, it’s the last week of June. I hope you men have been able to get out and enjoy the summer and maybe even have some outside in underwear time. Being Gay Pride month you can always get to a local Pride event and strip down to undies and it’s totally acceptable. That’s the best part about these festivals.
Here in Colorado Springs we have our Pride next month, July 16 – 17, so if you haven’t made it to one yet come visit ours. I will be working at a booth and may end up in undies Sunday, plus I hear this year we will have Manview underwear sporting and selling their underwear. Woo Hoo! I am excited. OK, but enough about that lets see what’s happening this week in underwear:
The Undie Awards
Underwear aficionados from all over the world have made their votes as have underwear fans including many of us. Here are some of the results. For full results and details, check out Jay’s post from last week or go to www.theundies.com. Congratulations to all the winners!

More Underwear Awards
Colorado based company, 4th Amendment Wear, won a Gold Lion award from the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity for their underwear with messages hidden in them that are only visible via airport TSA screenings. The messages contain freedom messages in protest of the invasive security, basically calling attention to the fourth amendment.
Ryan Reynolds Made Stuntman Wear Underwear to Support His Huge…
I think the title says it all. Watch the video.
Taylor Lautner to Model Underwear
The Philipines Star is reporting that designer Bench out of Manila has secured Twilight star Taylor Lautner as an endorser. It seems like a great move for a guy who has worked as hard as he has to get the body needed for his role as a werewolf.
Free Clothes For The Stripped
Cloting designer, Desigual, gave free clothing to the first 100 people who showed up out side their London store Friday. People began to line up Thursday night for the free clothes. This same Spanish designer has ran this at stores in Amsterdam, Stockholm and Berlin. Why doesn’t this happen here!
Strip Victory Lap
Austin Hubbard, the latest in his family to take on the world of car racing ,just won the “World of Outlaws Late Model Series”. So how did he celebrate? He stripped off his clothes and took a victory lap in his undies! Of course he had long underwear on but I still like the idea.
One local Jail in Tennessee is switching underwear. They used to provide underwear that cost $1.50 for inmates, but that was too costly so they’ve swapped. They now have an orange stretchy one size fits all unisex brief which costs .50 cents each. The undies should last 50 wears and the inmates still have tho option of bringing their own underwear… Is it just me or do you want a pair too?
Jock Strap Duty
A Host at CBS All Sports radio station 93.7 KDKA-FM is on underwear duty. He bet that if the Pittsburg Pirates got their record above 500, something they haven’t done since 1999, he would wash their jock straps. Well after a few wins the team made it and he is on underwear duty. Why don’t I make bets like that? Denver if any of your teams needs a Jock manager, I am here!
Superman Loses his Underwear!
DC Comics is going to relaunch the Superman series starting with Action Comics # 1. However, they are making a few adjustments, one they are taking away his red underpants! More like outer pants. They are putting him in a solid blue and at times even jeans. I think they should have kept the red underpants and lost the blue suit! I don’t know why they want to redo the classics I think it’s a bad move.
WEEK IN UNDERWEAR CRIME
Bradley Voyken, a 21 year old man hiding from several warrants, was found at an apartment in downtown Kelowna, near Toronto Canada. When police arrived he jumped out the window and fled in just his underwear. The police chased him through yards and neighborhoods and finally caught him in a closet at another home. He was still just in his boxers.
Jersey School Yeller
A man in New Jersey ran into an Elementary School and began to scream and yell that he was being chased by men with guns. He was only wearing his underwear. It turns out the men he was talking about were the Police who were called to a scene where he was making a disturbance. He has been taken in for psychiatric evaluation. Well technically he was telling the truth.

Greetings from California where I’m currently roatripping. Such nice weather you guys have here.
So over there in Europe, our favorite Greek underwear brand, Modus Vivendi, is doing their bit to save their country from financial ruin by launching a new range of underwear inspired by Greek gods, Hermes and Apollo.
Hermes is the great messenger of the gods in Greek mythology and a guide to the Underworld. An Olympian god, he is also the patron of boundaries and of the travelers who cross them, of shepherds and cowherds, of the cunning of the thieves, of orators and wit, of literature and poets, of athletes and sports, of weights and measures, of invention, and of commerce in general.
Ahhh, pause for breath. That is one busy and diverse Greek god!
And now he can add God of men’s underwear as well – what an honor!
The same goes for Apollo who, besides providing a divine touch to this new undies collection, has to supervise light and sun, truth and prophecy, medicine, healing, music, arts, and more.
Fit for a Greek god, the new Modus Vivendi underwear collection is pretty extensive and include new briefs, jocktraps, and trunks.
In terms of price, the new items are VERY affordable, ranging from just $17 USD for a pair of briefs to about $20 for a pair of trunks.
The styles include Modus Vivendi’s signature swimsuit-like strings as well as as some over-sized buttons down the center of the fly.
Check out the new collection over at www.e-modusvivendi.com.

We like the way these pictures obviously are meant to reflect the brand’ s association with Swiss culture and design. It really gives off that exclusive underwear look. And it’s good thing that it does, too. Diego Barberi trunks are not cheap to come by. $46 USD for a single pair of Swiss bliss undies.
But hey, Rolex is Swiss too, and those watches ain’t cheap either. We like to think the two compare well when it comes to the level of production quality.
Now, when will they start broadening their range to include briefs??
Anyway, enjoy the pics – and go to www.diegobarberi.com to buy the undies.
Our favorite Swiss men’s underwear brand, Deigo Barberi, has just launched their exclusive trunks in seven new colors.
And we’d like to introduce you to the fresh new variants in two m-a-j-a-h picture posts!
We had to split the pictures into two posts because Diego Barberi sent us so many gorgeous pictures and we simply couldn’t fit them all into one post.
Among others, the new colors include “Deer on pink”, “”Edelweiss on light yellow”, “Bear on blackberry red”, “Squirrel on green lemon”, “Gentian on lilac”.
The cut is the well-know trunk with a light push-up effect that we have come to love here on Guys’ Underwear Blog. Fabric-wise it’s a standard 95% Cotton, 5% Lycra with the signature Diego Barberi embroidery.
Check out the entire new 2nd edition DG trunks over at www.diegobarberi.com/2ndedition.
Enjoy the pics – there will be more tomorrow!
As you may know, we’ve been covering Gregg Homme’s promotion videos extensively here on Guys’ Underwear Blog.
They are outrageously hot!
Anyway, as has become mandatory for most men’s underwear brand, Gregg Homme has now released behind the scenes video footage from their latest campaign.
So if male underwear models prancing around in skimpy Gregg Homme undies is just what you need to get through a boring Tuesday, look no further.
Oh, and don’t forget to check out the entire Gregg Homme’s 2011 range at www.gregg.ca.
The Gregg Homme Boy Toy is the star of Hommes newest video “Buisiness Strip Part Two: Room Service” (see it below); a commercial that would rock across Europe but never allowed on television in the U.S.
The video is the model of Homme style, it’s masculine, sexy, sophisticated and fully deserving of a martini and a James Bond class of man. Gregg Homme has become a major innovator of this type of fashion in men’s underwear.
However, the real star here, the underwear, is not the typical Gregg suave Homme underwear. We see the youthful playful side of Homme coming out here, though they have managed to keep the sexiness and just upped the bounciness a little.
This pair of underwear almost seems out of place in this dim, adult, high class scene in the video. I would expect these underpants to be in a high energy, vibrant dance club, frat dorm or house party type atmosphere.
But that is not the Homme manner. Despite the name “Boy Toy”, which honestly I have never been a fan of men calling themselves nor the term “boy” toy used in reference to men (sorry I had to let that out), these pants are made for men – and not just any men but the classy Gregg Homme men.
The style is lighter and more youthful and very bright but it’s definitely designed to fit a man’s body. The sleek style works best on a manly frame as opposed to a skinny frat boy, see the guy in the video as a reference. When I heard the about this collection I wasn’t sure what to think about it, as it seemed like a step out of place for Gregg Homme, but I will tell you I think this is a great pair of underwear. It’s fun, it’s a little naughty and it’s sexy as hell!
The Boy Toy is made from a material that gives it a wet shimmering fabric that clings to your body and is so thin it feels like there’s nothing there at all. When I first felt this fabric it had the feel and look of a light plastic almost, yet it was sleek and smooth.
When I wore the underwear it felt amazing in that it was so light and so perfectly form fitting and even though it has this waxy wet look it feels as comfortable as spandex blended material.
It’s designed with a pouch in front to allow your manhood to protrude out, yet not so much it becomes vulgar, all the while not losing support. The one inch elastic waistband is surrounded by the fabric giving it that complete look.
The legs have a smaller yet similar elastic to keep them in place and comfort. And on the left hip there is a small metal tag with the Gregg Homme logo on it, very stylish.
The Boy Toy also comes in a great variety of styles and colors. It comes as a thong, brief, boxer brief (square cut) and a “jock” (more of a buttless brief, pretty sexy). It comes in two shades of blue, royal and aqua, magenta or black, so you have some great options here.
I chose the Aqua Boxer Brief and I love it. I wore the underwear all day long and everywhere I went and they were comfortable, never binding and kept me in place and supported.
I don’t know if I would use this underwear as everyday underwear since it is a little more refined and seems like it should be saved for something special. It definitely is comfortable enough to be used as everyday underwear, though.
I have never been let down by Gregg Homme before and I certainly wasn’t with the Boy Toy. Thank you Gregg Homme for another pair of outstanding undies and for taking that bold leap into your youthfull fun side. I would definitely recommend a Boy Toy for your exuberance party night!
|Style and look?||The style is fun and bouncy with a young flare, however it still contains that masculine sexuality you find in all of Gregg Hommes underwear. It’s wet look gives it a little naughty side yet it’s sleek design keeps it elegant. Cheery, light and sexy.|
|Suitable for?||Great date underwear or special occasions, perfect for Go-Go Boys (another term I am not fond of). This underwear deserves to be seen.|
|Fit and quality?||The fabric forms well to your body and the fit is great. The material is 85% Polyamide for the wet look and 15% Spandex keeping it form fitting and in shape. The construction is great, it’s sturdy and well built with quality stitching so it will last you a long time.|
|Is the price right?||Depending on the style you are looking for I’ve seen the underwear in this collection go for anywhere from $30 to $45, which can be a little expensive. Maybe that’s why the guy in the video stole them. But like I ALWAYS say with Gregg Homme, you get what you pay for. Gregg Homme is high end undies for the serious underwear fan.|
|Best thing about it?||The sexy fun wet look you get while still being masculine and elegant. Only Gregg Homme could make that combination work.|
Gregg Homme scores four stars with the Boy Toy – their take on youthful adventurousness. With this pair of underwear you get a fun pair of undies that will motivate you to keep the party going and will tell everyone who sees you in them that you are the guy they want if they are looking for fun! Thank you GH!
